Summer Camps

A wide variety of sports camps are offered every summer at Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont. Directed by Southern Vermont College coaches with NCAA Division III experience, each camp provides instruction on sport fundamentals and skill development. Our camps are grouped by age and/or ability and feature personalized attention.

Registration is now available for Southern Vermont College's popular "Mountaineer Sports Camps," a series of basketball, baseball and soccer camps, to be held on campus in July and August. The camps provide age-appropriate instruction through games and activities for the maximum enjoyment of the campers and the best opportunity for learning the game.

The camps are led by Mountaineer varsity coaches and include individual attention, grouping by age and/or ability, team competitions, camp t-shirts, special awards and contests and closing-day ceremonies.

The Mountaineers Men's Basketball Camp will be held July 21 to 25, and the Lady Mountaineers Basketball Camp will be held July 28 to Aug. 1. Both camps are for ages 10 to 18 and will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Field House gymnasium. The cost is $220, which includes lunch.

Two Mountaineers Baseball Camps (coed) will be offered July 28 to Aug. 1 at the Bill Epstein Athletic Field with a charge of $95 for each camp. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ages 7-12 will meet, and from 1 to 4 p.m. ages 13 to 18 will meet.

Three Mountaineers Soccer Camps (coed) will be offered Aug. 4 to 8 at the Bill Epstein Athletic Field with a charge of $95 for each camp. A Junior Mountaineers Soccer Camp ("Tenderfoots") for ages 5 to 8 will meet from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the "Pathfinders," ages 9 to 12, will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. A Mountaineers High School Soccer Conditioning Camp for ages 13 to 18 will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

Campers must provide appropriate athletic clothing, including shoes, and proof of their family insurance coverage to participate at camp. They should also bring water and a healthy snack.
