Southern Vermont College Women's Basketball Head Coach Benjamin Kozik is in his second year at the college.  He brings several years of coaching experience to the school, including stints as an assistant football coach at American International College (Division II), The College of the Holy Cross (Division I-AA) and Syracuse University (Division I-A).

He was also an assistant high school track and field coach at Hoosac Valley High School in Adams, Ma., having coached long-jumpers and hurdlers, as well as assisting with the mid-distance and long-distance runners.

Kozik assumed the duties as head women's basketball coach in January of 2008, taking over a 0-13 team.  The squad immediately responded to the change in leadership and won its first two games with Kozik at the helm.  Several games went down to the wire after that, with the offense scoring 60 or more points 5 of the 11 games Kozik coached.  This feat had not been achieved in the first 13 contests.

Kozik holds a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Communications as well as a master's degree in Business Administration from Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management.

Kozik was a standout athlete in high school and was a placekicker for the Syracuse Orange football team during his years at Syracuse.  He was a member of three bowl game teams, including the 1998 Orange Bowl, won Big East Championships as both a player and coach, and was an instructor at the Syracuse Football camps.

Kozik is single and resides in Bennington.
