2007-2008 SVC Athletics Sports Banquet Winners

Bennington, VT-Senior men's basketball player Nick Harrington and freshman women's volleyball, softball, and women's basketball player Julia Fagan won the male and female Sportsperson of the Year at the revamped annual Southern Vermont College Athletics Banquet held last night in the SVC Field House.

Over 100 people were in attendance, including student-athletes, coaches, families, and staff members.

"I'd like to thank the entire SVC family for making the event a special one," said Director of Athletics Benjamin Kozik. "Without the hard work of our entire athletics staff the evening could not have been a success. In addition, I believe the new tradition we have started in rewarding student-athletes who participate in a full season with a certificate of participation is a great way to show our appreciation."

Following dinner each coach announced the team's award winners (listed below). The night culminated with the presentation of the Sportsperson of the year. All of the individual award winners were presented with plaques that sported the new Southern Vermont College athletics logo.
