Mountaineers Comeback Falls Short, 78-70 February 6, 2010
BENNINGTON, Vt. The Southern Vermont College womens basketball team played host to New England Collegiate College rival the Becker College Hawks on Saturday afternoon losing 78-70 in a game where the Hawks led by as much as 20 in the second half. Guard Joa Claircius had a team-high 27 points, 17 of which came in the second half. Senior Courtney Fiske had a game-high 29 points for Becker as she drained nine treys in the win.

HOLYOKE, Mass. The Wildcats of Bay Path hosted New England Collegiate Conference rival the Mountaineers of Southern Vermont on their final home game at the Bartley Arena during Senior Night festivities. The Wildcats with the help of three senior members guard Christina Calabrese, forward Jessica Hunt, and center Kathleen Rodrigue were able to grab their first conference victory downing the Mountaineers 55-48 tonight.
