Women’s Lacrosse Blanked 19-0 by Utica at US Lacrosse Headquarters

SPARKS, Md. – The Southern Vermont College women's lacrosse team had the chance to play at the US Lacrosse headquarters Wednesday, but the Mountaineers unfortunately fell 19-0 to Utica College at Tierney Field.

The Pioneers chalked up 15 goals in the first half en route to the shutout victory.

SVC (0-2) returns to action on Saturday, March 24 with a 3 p.m. start at Purchase College.

Southern Vermont senior Kelsey Carrera (Queensbury, N.Y.) played the first half in net—making nine saves and snagging a team-best five ground balls in the loss (0-1). Classmate Kristiana Goldup (Schuylerville, N.Y.) made five stops in the final 30 minutes while grabbing four ground balls of her own.
