Women’s Volleyball Downed 3-0 in Non-conference Play at Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. – Southern Vermont College went up against Brandeis University in women's volleyball action for the first time in program history on Saturday—falling 3-0 in the non-conference match at Auerbach Arena.

Next up for the Mountaineers (0-9) is their home opener on Wednesday when SVC hosts Castleton University for a 7 p.m. first serve.

Southern Vermont sophomore Sarah Billow (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) led her team with six kills while adding a pair of digs to her line, and classmate Abigail Landon (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) tallied seven assists and four digs in the effort.

Bennington College freshman Kemly Derby (New York City, N.Y.) had three digs and a kill for the Mountaineers as freshman Danny Beaumier (West Hartford, Conn.) chipped in with three digs on the afternoon.
